Manori Islands -The Parallel Existence..

Manori Islands with the Manori beach and the Gorai Beach is seperated from the mainland only by a small creek and cant be called an island in all its essense, still the place just 40 km from one of the busiest and most crowded cities in the world; Mumbai, has maintained a quaint rustic charm about itself and maintained itself as an island away from the all pervasive urbanization of its neighbours!
Manori beach is about two kms long and fringed with palm trees and rows of seafront hotels. Both Gorai and Manori are rocky beaches linked by a rocky headland and accessed across a small creek. Swimming is not advised at the of Manori beaches. Manori and the nearby Gorai are quaint hamlets that faintly remind one of Goa with roadside chapels and churches and women in 'frocks'. Manori is also known for the numerous all night parties that happen here.
